Capacity Increase Procedure


Procedure 



1. Check the Current Alarm's including QoS Alarm and ensure there is no alarm related to Hardware Fault or any KPI degrade. 

2.  Check the Change Table if any (SHOW CHG;) and ensure that no changes 

3. Save the Online Data (IP Configuration) ==>. SAVE ONLINEDATA; 

4. Data & IP Configuration BackUp of MSC. 

5. Dump the Existing Configuration of SHOW MSCSCAPACITY; 

6. Pre Service Test (Local/NLD/PSTN Fixed MO/MT Call for ISUP/BICC/SIP, whichever applicable) 

7. Pull Out the Standby OMP Board ===> Don't disturb the Active OMP Board 

8. Change the Capacity of SPCM Table to "5120"  ==> SET MSCSCAPACITY:PCM=5120; 

9. Sync. Of All table Transfer ==> Ensure the Active OMP Status 

10. Reset All SMP/CMP(First reset slaver CMP module then changover CMP module from master to slaver  boards and wait for normal Stage). 

11. Check the PCM Table Capacity through Probe(Table name is R_SPCM)  and ensure the changes in all module (Now 5120) 

12. Service Test. 

13. Check the Free Memory of all  the module and ensure that at least 60MB availability, 

14. After Completion of Service Test, Insert the Standby OMP and check the board status. ==> Don't disturb the Active OMP Board 

15. Check the Current Alarm and ensure that no alarm related to Memory usage or hardware fault 

Check the availability of Spare SMP board before performing the activity.
